large-scale performances + installations in public spaces

immersive multi-sensory moments at art + concert venues

Our work is guided by Maria Finkelmeier’s principles in creating new and meticulously crafted works that are narrative driven and socially responsive. We are dedicated to encouraging conversation and connection through visceral, ephemeral, yet unforgettable moments.

Musicians perform on stage with colorful lighting, vintage lamps, and musical instruments, including a saxophone and xylophone, amidst a warm, artistic atmosphere.

Live Performance

We work harmoniously to design and produce performances inviting observers into the process, while investigating the latest technologies. From placing dozens of performers in a public park to intimate duo performances integrating data sonification, we define our own performance parameters.

Our founder, Maria Finkelmeier, performs original music on a variety of percussion instruments and electronics as a soloist, with orchestras, or alongside collaborators, such as Angela Shankar, Tim Hall, Lucia Lin, Jean Laurenz, and Greg Jukes, among others. She’s played with the Silk Road Ensemble, Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Nexus Percussion, and Boston Modern Orchestra Project.

β€œTo call her a virtuoso marimba player, percussionist and artist is just not enough β€” she is basically an entire art scene herself.”

Public Art Installations

We work with organizations, commissioning bodies, municipalities, curators, and institutions to design reflective, and vibrant installations, that connect with communities through shared memory and experience.

Our works are grounded in sound, but realized through a variety of tools such as projection, movement, visual art, poetry, video, and more.

Each project team is developed specifically to meet the needs of the engagement and histories of the community.

Original Music + Digital Art

Maria fuses her contemporary classical training with electronic music production skills to compose symphonic chamber works, sound installations, solo pieces, and soundtracks to visual media. Her sound is rooted in avant garde exploratory principles, yet inspired by relentless dance hooks.
